I have been completely neglecting my blog! Luckily my awesome sister in law stumbled across it and brought it to the front of my mind again, otherwise who knows how long I would have neglected it!
Over the last two months I’ve crocheted too many pairs of slippers to count, I’ve made a few baby blankets and some awesome flowery pillows but as usual i’ve given almost all of them away. Luckily I remembered to take some pictures this time. They aren’t the greatest quality since I took most of them on the fly from my iPhone but you get the idea…..
Granny Square Flower Pillows from a pattern I found on Rosehip
My hexagon baby blanket (I’ve kept this one, i just cant stand to part with it!)
SLIPPERS!!! All inspired by an amazing pattern found on PurlBee.
Thank goodness for crafting. It has really kept me sane for the last few months and I expect that it will keep me sane in the months to come also. There is nothing like watching a movie and crocheting to de-stress you after a day of crazyness! If you want a pair of these slippers and live in the GTA I will hook you up (no pun intended), I have tons of them at home and my husband is starting to get a little annoyed with me, (“how many pairs of slippers does one person need?!?!”) but I just LOVE making them!!!
Also I’m reading some great books right now. I got a review copy of The Postmistress by Sarah Blake from LibraryThing.com & Penguin Canada, and I am really into this book! I’ll be posting my review up on LibraryThing soon, I’ll make sure to post a link when I do.
I also picked up a copy of The Graveyard Book by Neil Gaiman, I found it in the young adults section when I was looking for a gift for a friends daughter. It was a quick read but surprisingly creepy, sad, fun and interesting all at the same time. I strongly suggest that you pick it up if you are having a “what should I read?” moment.
I think that pretty much updates what I’ve been doing for the first part of 2010. I’ll do my best to update again soon about some cool stuff I have going on in the upcoming weeks but for now I’m going to finish off this post with a picture of my cat and my husband. Enjoy!
Have a wonderful day!
